Cam sensor replacement Help ASAP

Sinister I told you what the failure was the same day you post your question. But who am I to know, I have only done 45 front and top services on SHO's in the last 3 years

I do have a new crank sensor, but I dont think thats the problem. I've always been told stalling is an issue with the crank sensors, and my car has never stalled, just hard starting. Guess I will know tomorrow.

Sorry, I replaced the cam sensor on Friday, and I didn't have the time to change the crank sensor myself. Like I stated, I had always related stalling to a bad crank sensor. Now I know.

In the midst of summer, after i painted my intake. I had trouble starting my car when it was hot outside..like, 90+ degrees. And that was only after trying to start the car after it had already been warmed up to normal op. temps.

The symptoms led me to believe i had either a bad CPS, CID, or DIS ground. Dead tach, hard starting, backfiring through the intake when starting, but it never stalled while driving...

Now that it's fall, and the temps have cooled. My car starts everytime. Temp gauge also doesnt creep past the A much anymore (it seemed that if my temp gauge was on O or R during the summer, it wouldnt restart).

Just an odd little story...the mysteries of the Ford EDIS.
