so I've read a couple posts about ways too get a better 1/4 mile time and people keep saying a cable mod for the rear suspension. I assume it pulls the rear end down so it don't absorb energy from a launch. where can I find info on this. cable mod in search gives me nothing.

I have never heard of this mod. Can you post or link the references to this mod?

Nobody sells the mod as I have halfway attempted the mod. All you need is a drill, 3 feet in high quality steel cable and 4 cable locks. It locks the rear suspension and keeps the rear strut from going up keeping the spring from compressing.

The "cable mod" that I know of goes on the Front struts.
It keeps them from stretching under a hard launch.
Blocks or coil spacers are used on the back struts to prevent them from compressing.

No they are used in the rear. check the 3800pro forums.

I thought Sach already had 2x4's in place of struts and springs

And Zach, what Brian said applies to FWD cars, which he is correct (of course).

Done it and it works. Not streetable in any sense of the word. We used it on Shoamo's turbo car. Never took it to the drag strip but on 13psi we were confident in sub 12.5 ET.

just go to Vato Zone and pick up those 4" spring spacers. They'll help reduce rear end squat on the launch. Truth be told, on a mostly stock car, they're probably not gonna do much unless your suspension's worn out, in which case you should focus on that rather than trying to band-aid something to eke another .10 of a second out of a 15 second car.

You could have written that the first time instead of posting an emoticon. Speak your mind like a mature adult. You seem fairly confident you know what it feels like and that it wouldn't have happened so your opinion is your opinion. That's why this is a forum.

At the end of the day the car ran 12's. We were on the verge of running mid to low 12's. I said we were confident in that. What you think is null in this situation because it wasn't your car and we have experience in what it takes.
