Hi there. I searched the forum and can't find this issue mentioned.
I was having problems with a loud grinding noise from the front of my 2011 SHO. I could feel something binding up inside and at very low speeds the car would just stop from a mechanical fault.
Turns out the transfer case needs to be replaced at only 106,000km? My extended warranty is only putting a used one in.
My question: I installed the 18'. Police rims for winter with 235/60/18 tires all around. Would the smaller rims (stock is 20') cause premature failure in the T case? I can't see how it would fail so soon when I don't drive the car very hard.
Thanks for any help
