Just recently when my 89 sho gets a bit warm and I brake the brake pedal feels spongy and goes lower than it should. When I drive the car for the first 5 minutes after cold startup it's ok. Just when it warms up. I know my fluid were not changed(maybe they warm up and are not effective anymore?)My rotors are fine, back calipers stick sometimes, and the brake fluids are at the right level and do not leak. Any feedback .Thanks. Can it be something mechanical?

First off, if your back calipers stick I would replace them immediately. It's usually the brakes hose or the slider pins. This can cause a big fire if not taken care of. Second, you are probably low on brake fluid and probably there is air in the system. Check your brake fluid first.

Carl the rear brakes are the first cause of a low pedal.. Most likely the pins are froze this is what the calipers slide on. Its an easy fix and the pins are about $6-$7 a set one for each side. You need to take the whole caliper off though so you might as well turn the roaters and put new pads. Make sure you have a caliper tool for the rear calipers they dont compress with a c- clamp like the fronts. Also you may want to bleed all four calipers these systems are very sensitive to air. Good Luck
