2 nights ago, I shut off my car, and the tail lights stayed on. The back lights, and the third brake light. After some research, I found the connector that was attached to the switch on the brake pedal was melted, and the switch was hot. So, is this the "BOO" switch? That was the best I could find searching the forums. If it is, what does BOO stand for? If not, is there something else I should be looking at other then the switch on the pedal?

Thanks!

Yes that is the BOO switch, it stands for Brake On - Off switch. If this was constantly on, it's possible your brake pedal is "dragging", that is, it doesn't go back up after you press it. To check, apply brakes, then after you're off the pedal, try to pull the pedal up. It shouldn't move up at all.

The lights WERE constantly on, but I found a melted connector and hot BOO switch. Hey! In stock at Advanced Auto Parts. Nice!

I will check the brake pedal anyway to make sure that this won't be a problem in the future.
