Where is the sensor for the e-brake?...I just did my rear brakes and now the dash light stays lit. Its not the ABS light. Obviously I disconnected the e-brake cable, just wondering what I did wrong when I hooked it back up.

Right on top of the e brake pedal. If the pedal has fallen down just a little bit, the light will come on. Try pushing the pedal up, and see if the light goes off.

adjust that thing....how can you stand to have the brake light staring at you!

Not that bad when you also have check engine, air bag, and lamp out staring at you. Oh, and also white face gauges turned all the way up.

Add to that the ABS light and you have what I see everyday. Has anyone ever extinguished the airbag light, because the blinking is driving me crazy. The manual says if you take the light out it, will start actuating the horn!!!!!
Oh yes, I forgot about the door ajar light. That one I think I can handle..... does anyone know the quick test to find out which door it is?

The airbag light could be a relay. There are a few sensors in the front. That one, I would take to Ford and have them run a scan to find out the problem (don't get it fixed if it's a relay.) Just find out what one it is, go to a junk yard and find another SHO and pull that relay. Disconnect the battery, wait for at least an hour to let the system discharge. You don't want to screw with the Air Bag system with a charge left in it, it can accidentally blow the air bags! Replace, and away ya go.

Door ajar - Had this one myself. Does the dome light stay on all the time?
When you open any of the doors, facing the front on all 4 door frames, you'll see a black push button about 3/4 of the way down. There is a nut on the end of all of them. Make sure that all 4 are there, and that they are pushed far enough out to make contact when the door is closed. You can push the button to in to see if that fixes it. You may need to remove the button (socket with I think a 3/8" driver) should be able to get it out. Just be careful, if the wires are rotted, and you pull too hard, it'll yank the wiring right out of the button.

ABS light is probably one of the sensors mounted behind the brake rotors. They get gunk built up in them, and can't sense the gear mounted on the drive axel. Pull the tire off, look behind the caliper, and you'll see a lone black cable sticking out, facing foward (towards the front of the car). Get some brake cleaner / electrical cleaner and try blasting that sensor from the bottom. Hopefully that'll clear that one up too.

There are ways to troubleshoot both the air bag and ABS systems. The air bag blinking is the code it's giving you. The codes range from 12 to 53 without some in the middle. Read the code out (turn the car off and back on and start counting the blinks from then to make sure you aren't reversing the code) and report back to us so I can tell you how to fix it.

The ABS system can be tested much in the same way as the EEC with the plug that lays next to the EEC test connector. There is no pigtail on this one, but when you look at the connector, there are four pins that form a square. The top right and bottom right pins of that square need to be shorted, then count the codes on your ABS light, or hook a multimeter up between the bottom left pin of the square and the ground source and count sweeps (and the bleeps and the creeps).

The lamp out module can simply be unplugged. It's up behind the glove box, i think. I need to figure out where exactly it is because my wife has to unplug hers as well...
