Hi,
I had my car in the shop this morning to have a new set of brake rotors (AutoZone) and PFC brake pads installed, along with a Mobil-1 oil change. I haven't driven the car enough yet to give a verdict on the brakes, they felt a bit mushy on the way home, but they probably just need to get broken in a little.
The shop manager said the mechanic found evidence of a leak on the right rear caliper, and if it gets any worse he suggests getting it replaced. My extended warranty will cover the repair
but I'm wondering if anyone else here has had to replace a brake caliper on a gen3 SHO, and how many miles you hit before they needed to be replaced? I'm only at 55k miles (second or third owner I think), it seems awfully soon for such a repair.
Thanks!
Ben
