You should leave it primer and just clear it! It looks good that color.

I'm a little biased because I have a magnetic metallic too!

Really? Your picture looks like light gray. As mine is more dark gray.
They do change in the light though

Nope its the dark grey, and ya it really depends on how the light is hitting it.

Double metallic added to stock paint code, after spray out sat for awhile and in direct sunlight it looks too pink. I may go with stock color

Another friend of ours does custom paint mixing. Time to paint soon, double metallic turned too pink as its red metallic flakes. Reflected too pink in the sun. Going to do a couple of custom mixes with Ford color with a few different metallics and pearl added in. Not paying this much with this much work for exactly stock color.

Did epoxy prime and have been blocking it down for a while to get it straight and fill body imperfections. Itll go into booth once figure out what i want for paint but it still has some work till that point

Great to see someone spend so much effort restoring a SHO.
Keep up the hard work, and continue posting pictures.

It will be at Carlisle Ford Nationals next summer. Not "selling" it but it will be available for trade as ive been looking for a mid 60s to mid 70s Ford truck in good shape.

Finally chose a paint today. Custom mix stock paint color with modern pearlescent. It pops alot more than the stock pearlescent. Same color in sunlight just looks alot more glittery. It will look very nice when done, all that is left is to paint, wetsand, clearcoat and reassemble. Not sure if its in that order but thats whats left to do.
Gave my buddy the ok on the custom paint, he just needs to get a gallon or so mixed up and should have finished results on here soon enough.

Need a drivers side rear light assembly though. Stock one broke pretty bad coming out as it was like caulked in there.

Hit a little road block on it this month. Not painted yet but its ready for it now finally. The front bumper grill thing had all the clips broke and some cracks and pretty much all the plastic was...ya know 30 years old. So pits and cracks needed fixed. They are all good now and primed up ready for paint next.
Still need to find a drivers side rear tail light.
Dont worry, when this is all done im posting the complete bill so others can see the realistic cost of a local custom/fab shop and not a cheap maaco respray.
