Hi helpful folks,
So Bob has been sitting a lot getting repaired wheel wells and other things. The blower motor is doing this weird thing where it doesn't turn all the way off, even though the control panel says off. The roller wheel operates correctly from low to high, the vents and other buttons on the eatc work correctly, I think it did turn off once or twice while I was investigating, but most of the time it stays on low speed, again, even though it says its off. Has anyone had this type problem>>?? I've had the blower only on high issue and the resistor pack fixed that. Could this running on low and not turning off also be the blower motor resistor gone bad??
thanks in advance for your ideas

Have you tried running diagnostics on the climate control module? I don't know what model year you have, but on the '89 I think it is Off+Outside, then Auto. You'll get an error code, post it here. You press the cold button to get the climate control running again.

There is a fan control module under the glove box, I'm guessing that module is bad.

Thanks very much for the reply. The car is a 95/
I'm still a newbie really and never knew/heard of the diagnostic test you're describing. I'll try it when I get the car back and see. Thank you so much,
I too think it is the BCM, the blower motor resistor pack thing with the heat sink fins behind the glove box. I replaced another one that would only blow on high and wouldn't shut off, so maybe it's like an opposite problem from the same part.
Thx again,
Terry
