Awhile back I had some brake problems, the brake lines were corroded and I ended up having to splice in new sections. At the same time that this happened something happened to the speedometer and football. Not that I really cared at that time, it was cold weather anyway and usually I just flow with the traffic when I drive that car. I don't drive it very often anyway.
I have no speedometer and no radio/CD. I can't turn the fan off or on or adjust the speed of the fan. I do have rear defrost. I've swapped the football out with another known working unit with no change. I've checked all the fuses both under the hood and in the cabin, all are good. Battery is fully charged and the terminals are clean and making good contact.
I've read that the neutral safety switch can have some effects on the radio but I had replaced mine and I don't have any problems with starting the car so I don't think that this is the problem.
Anybody have any suggestions on what to check next? We're heading into the thaw now so having the heat on full blast will not be an option here before long.
Much appreciated!

Dude, if I start whacking this car it'll be with a sledge hammer. Besides, we already determined that the "Fonzi slap" doesn't work with this car, remember?
