I just got rear ended a few days ago and I was wondering how hard is it to unbend the subframe on this car. I must say it looks pretty grim because it got the trunk all out of wack and the passenger side fender is all bent up. It looks like the frame on the passenger side is pushed up as well. I dont want to get rid of the car because I only got it a month ago. So what do u think my chances are of getting this thing back into shape and has anyone done it before?

if the frame is visable bent youll need to put the car on a frame machine to get it straight. the floorboards add an amazing amount of strength, even in bent up form, you wont be abvle to do it yourself

frame repair on a unibody car is one of those things where if you have to ask, its not something you can do yourself

and oh yea, pulling a framerail over 1 inch, on a jeep, with no other damage to any panels (well, nothing some undercoat wont fix) runs $300-400, prices go up fast from there ...

No their insurance company is gonna call me tomorrow with their BS offer because they totalled the car because of the frame damage. But I can only hope for the best

Try to buy it and fix it. I also got rear ended this summer and I paid $160 to the shop to pull the frame. They also repainted the metal.

I was lucky because it was a firebird behind me, so his very low bumper didn't hit my taillights or the plate. The the trunk wasn't closing right and the panels under the tails had move and were rubbing on the tail lights. Once they pulled the frame, everything was back straight.

Look around for a cheaper shop with the proper equipment, what I did is I removed the rusted out bumper bolts, and replaced them, remove the carpet in the trunk and my plate cover so they had not to fight with some useless things.
