My 2010 SHO was just declared a total loss by the insurance company. Goodbye SHO. BTW, all airbags deployed and no damage to yours truly, and believe me it was a solid hit. Here's the before and after. I had it for 14 months, 13,300 miles of pure pleasure.

Glad the car did it's job and you're ok, but that doesn't look like a lot of damage to be a total loss on a $40K car. The damages have to cost more than 75% of the vehicles worth to be a total, which is about $30K in damages. I guess all of those airbags are expensive. Did all of the ones in the roof pillars and seats go off too?

I thought the same, that there was not enough damage on a $40K vehicle to total it, but with all the electronics up front, damage to all the front sheet metal and doors, engine not running, and then diminished value of about $5K, I was more than happy to avoid any future problems. I plan to replace it with a 2011.

The accident was a full frontal impact head on with a Honda Pilot driven by an 82-year old guy, who waited until the last possible second to move into my lane. He was going to turn into a side street. No time to react, even my collision avoidance sensors did not beep until impact. Speed was about 45 mph. Everyone walked away, so that is the important part.

Found a new 2011, exact replacement, black with 402A, Nav, plus has the Performance Pkg, which I didnt think that combination was possible. Delivery is tomorrow!

Yea, for 2011 they made it available to get the 12S PP with 402A, but I'm pretty sure you still can't get Adaptive Cruise (ACC) with the 12S PP.

Could you show a pic of the interior? I'm just curious as to which bags blew off and how they look. I actually did some design work on the mounting of the roof pillar airbag over the rear passenger's heads.

Glad to hear you're ok, and sounds like you got a great car picked out. Wish I could have gotten the performance pack with all the options on my '10.

Getting the new model is the best possible outcome for you.
I knew they were quick to write off older vehicles...... and now I know they are quick to write off newer vehicles as well.

When I got my 2011 last month it had the PP and 402A and nav like the one you found as well as the massaging seats. You could not have the adaptive cruise control with the performance pack, however.

Good to see you survived the accident in great shape.

Sounds like the same options as my 2011.

I'm glad the OP walked away, and am glad the car was totalled as well. Chances are the car never would have been the same had someone tried to piece it back together.
