Hello everyone,
I was a bit startled this morning when I went to back out of my driveway and the image was 180 degrees , inverted, upside down..lol. There were no guide lines either. No other issues at all just this...I have tried going into settings and turning OFF all options..then restarting (im a computer guy) and then re-enabling the features to no avail. Has anyone else seen this and FIXED it...if so how?

Thanks,

Mark Dupoise

:( Make sure Sync software is up to date. Sometimes disconnecting the battery for a few minutes will fix it. Eventually tho, the camera has to be replaced. You can likely find aftermarket replacements much cheaper than OEM if you can do without the calibrated guidelines.

The Sync software was updated about 5 months ago when the water pump was done. I had the dealership update it then since it was there. I did think about disconnecting the battery and will try that tomorrow. Hopefully that solves the issue. Its funny though, the image is perfect as usual, just upside down like some ******* at work who reverses your monitor as a joke....lmao

I've read stuff online with the camera as the issue and others where the software/apim hardware was the issue. Do you have the FORScan software and OBD 2 module? I don't have this model of SHO but I think the software is out there for free and you would need to buy the obd2 plug in module.

Something to look at for a computer guy. https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=836

I saw it used for a backup camera issue on an F150 here

There are plenty of owners that run this stuff and can chime in with more knowledge on the camera and the diagnostic software

The guy on the video shows it and said he got his on amazon. I'm sure they are available in more places. I don't have the precise answers as I don't own this model, but I have seen things to point you to.

2013 Black on Black SHO with all the bells and whistles and a K&N cold air intake, you didn't happen to add a Flux Capacitor and run the SHO up passed 88mph did you??? You're a computer guy, the hard reboot cures a lot of freaky things these cars do and the APIM is no exception. Good luck and if you see Doc, tell him Marty says hi.

Post back when you get to the bottom of it. Should help the next person with this problem. I think I saw there was a fuse in the panel you can pull to reset the apim. You'll have to dig a little. Alot of these failures reported across Ford models like escape and flex. Might be some differences but the hard parts setup should be designed similar.

Try disconnecting the camera from the harness and then drive the car around the block. Hook it back up and see if that fixes it.

Do a hard factory reset on the touchscreen itself. It should fix the problem.
