well, the first thing everyone is going to ask you is pull ur codes and post them, or you can go to shophoenixproject.com they have the codes also listed there..

i would have to say check codes, then check fireing order, if the fireing order is right, i might have a bad wire or spark plug, i would say maybe ur timing might be off but idk to much about the timing and stuff, but i would just start with the basics, pulling codes and checking fireing order, and inspect the plugs and wires.

hope this helps alittle bit, i do my best to help fellow sho owners when i can.

Are you sure it's backfiring, and not misfiring? Backfiring will generally make people around the car hit the ground because they'll think that somebody is seriously shooting at them with a gun.

If it's not doing that, then... well, this is a pretty common problem. If you leave the car after it warms up for about 15 minutes, come back and start it, it will just run like absolute poo-poo and stall if you are'nt generous with the gas for about 15-20 seconds, then it'll shape up and act like nothing happened.

I think it has something to do with the fuel in the rail heating up much faster than the fuel outside of the engine, but I'm not really sure. Best solution for it that I've found is to give it generous throttle, wait for the RPMs to jump up about 1200-1500 with the same amount of throttle, then be on your merry way. The faster you clear that fuel in the rail...
