Taking The Other Woman ( and THE Woman) up to the Cinders in Northern AZ for a few days to try out the new Eaton blower. I'm hoping the 30 degree cooler temps will help with the power output.

30 deg cooler and 30% thinner, you will not be happy.

I will however be very happy as misery loves company.

Very funny. Tom, that thing was a blast! Thanks for the ride. Hope you have a great time.

Tom, ever think of using Nos to cool the air charge into the super charger.... I hear it works nicely.

Hey and if you guys know if anyone wanted sunroof parts or those door panels they were available for the taking. I only took the sunroof out because I never did it before.

Tom,
Remember...."Maximum Fun, With Little Effort!" Have some fun for me. Still trying to get that front oil seal out, its my saturday project including the 115 degree weather. Can I get to that seal from behind by removing the oil pan, it seems way too simple to be that easy but I figure I would put it out there....No laughing out there.....I can't hear myself laughing at me....lol Suggestions anyone? Well I'll be staring at that little gasket til the brain fires up so until then....Ciao!

seal, sun roof.. and new old car

to get at the front main seal you will have to remove the harmonic balancer (lower pulley)

The sunroof wasnt a big deal - just had to drill out some rivets. As far as I know, the Gen 1 and Gen 2 sun roofs are the same. The hot ticket is to put the sun shade from a Gen 2 into a Gen 1. I like my current car without the sunroof.

The car runs great.... pumps out about a quart of oil per tank of gas out of the rear maiin seal.... very nice for lubricating the chassis... common option on this year sho. It also has a neat 3rd gear indicator... sometimes when you put it into 3rd gear, it gives you a nice grinding noise. Oh... almost forgot my favorite... a crack in the subframe. It is welded for now but will be replaced soon. I might have to get one chromed to make Tom jealous. It will be replaced when the rear main seal and transmission are done. Either that or I will have yet another SHO after the subframe breaks and the car is distroyed.

I have already replaced the y pipe and exhaust since it was plugged with pieces of the catalytic converter. It also received new plugs, o ring seals and front roll bar struts (moog greasable - very nice) I really need to get the radio working... I can deal with everything else being messed up but a man's got to have his tunes.

Almost forgot.. I installed my rod shifter the other day... I don't know how anyone can stand a cable shifter! Yuk!

1: Do all you Phoenicians wake up at 7 am? Geesh those are early posts.

2: Dont knock cables man. If it werent for those, the rod wouldnt have been developed. My catless set up precludes me from the rod shifter at the moment. Big fat resonator in the way. Perhaps some day.

3: I have your gas tank and trunk lid. Recently added pinstrips to your trunk lid to make it look cool. Actually they were scuffs, but at least it doesnt have rust on it.

4: Note about radio: gen 2 radio takes some modding to work in your car. Doesnt plug right in.

5: The rear main seal is easy to change, remove the carrier cover though and do it that way instead of the hole drilling way. Trouble is getting the tranny out. Oh yea, and I charge 1 million dollars to do that work (kinda see how I dont like doing it eh?).

1: I work from 4 am to 4 pm.

2: The dynomax exhaust kit that I have includes the resonator. 360$ from Jegs.

3: Pin stripes ought to get you 1.3 added wheel horse power... i suggest adding a 3 foot wing as well.

4: The fitment of the radio isn't the problem. All of the engineering someone did to the wiring is the problem.

5: I need to do the rear main. I'll have to take it like a man. I am going to get a 2005 mustang GT as a daily driver in a couple of months... I hope I can stretch it until then. I will be keepin the SHO as well... I need somewhere to waste my money right?

6: I installed a panic button on the consol where there was a hole from a cd player display... the panic button doesnt really do anything, it's just there for laughs. I was going to call it the eject button or the ***** remover button but there would have to be a passenger in there for it to be funny.... i don't know many people that like to ride around in a 16 year old oil pump.

We're back! Both women performed flawlessly. The Eaton blower really helps in the low end department. I was able to just cruise through the deep cinders in 2nd and 3rd. All hills were done in 2nd gear, still accelerating when we neared the top. Didn't want to try Competition Hill (45% grade) untill I get an oil cooler of some sort on her.

She also sounds sooooo much better with the two mini borla type mufflers on her. The old SuperTraps were way to raspy.

I have a couple of videos in AVI format that I will try and host somewhere in case you want to see her. I also have some in-car video (front and rear facing), but it's on the cam corder so I will have to learn how to run that Dazzle software to get it into hostable format. The rear view with the roosts are kind of fun to watch. Sure wouldn't want to be within 50-75 feet of her when she's on boost.
