Snowies

I know they are snow tires that just goes to SHO you how long I have been holding on to this car and saving to get it back on the road and running. When I took the pics that is the most it has moved in about a year and half. When I got the car the snow tires were on it and I got a set of Yokohama directionals as summer tires.... unfortunately I never made it that far with the car to be able to put the summers on before the the trans went. Now like I said I limp her around the yard and start her just to keep things all lubed up in the motor. She fires up every time. I did have a question about that though.... If she ideals for a while the temp gage goes real high.....still in the normal range but high just the same. I checked it and the fans are running as they should and the coolant is where it should be... The only thing I haven't checked is the thermostat. I wasn't sure if this was a normal thing or if I should change the thermostat. Any suggestions would be great and if it normal please let me know as well. Thanks for checkin' out my post and have a great day.

More Pics!!!!

My Quaife is in my possession!!! Here is a pic of the Donor Car and Thanks to Dan Barbush and some tools/rigging and a ounce of help from me we (mostly HE) got the tricky trany out and in the back hatch of my parts runner (02 Hyundai Elanta GT 5 spd only because it gets 34MPG). I even have the coveted blue warranty car as well in my glove box. I know the rigging has a bit of a bow in the front support but me being a ******** and dropping the jack too fast put a very intense stress test on her and she held beautifully. The trans and motor were both involved in that test so with the 100lbs less on it currently I have confidence that Dan should live through whatever else he has to do to that car before those supports give out. I left feeling pretty good about that when I left. Here are some pics I hope you enjoy. I will do a chorical of this car when I am done. Dan has been my parts guy and I want to give many thanks to him for being so.

Awsesome! I'm glad that you and Dan hooked up finally. (Yeah, I'm a little late on the topic...nothing new.) Did you get it installed in your car yet? You'll love it when you do! :thumb:
