************************************PICS HAVE BEEN POSTED ON PAGE 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*********************************

Hey the name is Alex and I am starting to "restore" a 92 MTX. Red exterior with full gray and of course the roof. I am a couple steps a head of the game as I have already bough my newly rebuilt tranny with the holy grail of SHO artifacts and that is the QUAIFE and 8lbs flywheel. Plans for now are light mods with headers high flow Y pipe custom from there to center of rear. Adding a 93-95 steering wheel. Nice conservative spoiler with about a 2" rise off the deck. Shaving the antenna. Will either find wheels I like or have my mint slicers powder coated to match the paint scheme of the car. and cold air intake. Then the best part PAINT. Dark candy purple (black handles will be swapped with 94/95 so I can match them to the car)with burnt copper/orange racing stripes. Knight on horse with lance same color as the stripes on both sides. Neons on inside already purchased. Complete sound system waiting to go in complete with 2 12" JL WO hooked to a Punch 3001 amp. Car is in almost mint condition. Driver's seat looks as though it has 10,000 miles on it and 0 on the rest. I have talked to some people about my upper and lower 60K work along with rod bearings. I want to have it all done except maybe the murals on the sides for the 20th anniversary convention and I will have my car there. would like to hear what people think but please don't try to talk me into a turbo NOS or Supercharger. All others will be considered as my budget allows. Hope to meet some great people as I already have met Bizzy Dan Bryan and Peter all great people that owe the car to when I am done.

Not too warm with the color or the spoiler idea...but it may turn out good. The plus spoilers are nice. Otherwise...DO YOUR ROD BEARINGS! Welcome aboard.

The WORST part about all of that is the paint, no offense. Why rice out a SHO in near mint condition. Sorry, just not digging the idea at all. I think you meant to buy a Honda instead of a SHO. Sorry again, not trying to sound like a ****, just being honest.

Whatever floats your boat man, but I can't say I'm a fan of the color scheme you have in mind.

And cosigned on the spoiler, save for the plus idea. A Gen I spoiler won't fit properly on a Gen 2 body. If you're going to get one, get a stock one Gen 2 one, they're relatively easy to find.

Good find on the Quaife, and good luck with the rest of the car.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking about that...I have a Spoiler put on mine (no rear break light) so I guess it's a plus and it REALLY helps the looks out

Crazy Paint

I know the paint idea wasn't going to go over too well I have had a lot of people try to talk me out of it but I think I am set on it. The knight on the side would be the only thing I might drop. The spoiler I got from my LX. I bought the car that way and it is the best spoiler I have seen. It has a LED break light in it and like I said just sits only about an inch inch and a half off the deck. I knew what I was buying when I bought my SHO. I have alway wanted one and seeing as my first car was a MT5 and I have had 7 Tauruses I thought it only fitting that I get an SHO. Honda stock won't touch a stock SHO plus I love the racing seats in the SHO. As I said before I am not expecting every or any one to like my car I was just stating what I will do. I like when people add their own touch to a car and I would like to see all the stuff people have done to their cars. So if you have a cool car and have a pic you can send it to my e-mail addy. [email protected]. Also feel free to contact me if you have suggestions or perts you think i might be interested in. I am looking for a set of wheels I like.;)

Hey, not everyone liked that purple thing at the convention, but some people did.

Who knows? Maybe this color'll turn out quite beautiful. Don't lynch him just yet...

I'd love to see how the combo turns out Alex- besides- it's your money that bought the car and parts to go on it, not ours... ;)

I think the mural and neons were a bit much for the idea for some...

I'm a clean stock SHO guy myself, but jees- nobody turns a head at anything like that unless you're a real SHO stickler. Dark candy purple isn't barney purple. And it may look cool... Possible to paint it just candy purple first without the stripes? The SHO stealthy looks could look good with stealthy color like dark, dark candy purple- like dark cherry.

Purple Nurple

Ya the purple isn't you typical Purple I guess I will just have to post a pic when I get it done. I will definitely do what people have suggested and stop after the primary coat and see how I like it before adding the stripes. The murals probably won't make the 20th anniversary (to everyone's disappointment I'm sure :scared::wav:) lol., I did want to thank the people that said it MIGHT not look that bad. Trust me I have been defending my sexuality long before now on me liking the color purple so it really isn't that big of a deal. No one sent me pics of their cars or wheels that they had for sale. Talk to you guys later. Should have the Quaife in by MONDAY!!!!

PM by clicking on their user name above their post...and I don't believe we have a live chat feature.

my SHO

If people don't know what a stock 92 SHO looks like all they have to do is look at the red SHO in the banner and they probably shouldn't be here. Not I know it isn't exactly the car I have as that one has matching handles and the stock spoiler but it is the same car otherwise. My car is not broke it simply isn't finished as with any true SHO person their car is NEVER finished. I could tell you about the 91 that looks like crap that I paid $500 for and is my DD. There are some that can't boast they have a SHO as DD. That car runs great just passed PA inspection and looks like someone shot it 3 times with bird shot on the driver's side rear quarter panel. That car is done and not broke. I will have pics up as soon as someone tells me how to post them. I suppose I could draw a pic of what my car will look like but I am sure I would get flak from that as well. Either way I posted what I did and like it or not no sweat off my back. The color of the stripes will be the same as the SHO on this site.

Some people don't like this car... I think it is the best I have ever seen. Personal touches make the car not people flapping their biscuits about keeping it 100% factory or this is what I would do. I don't care how different it looks as long as you did something anything to make it your own. If all the SHOs in the world were parked outside I would want to know my car right away and I will, and ask who's car is that? I don't want to offend anyone but people talk about me not having pics. I pretty much stated that in the first thread. Yet I ask to see their cars and the closest I get to that is a dinky icon. I guess I will sudup and watch the feathers fly over this post as well. When I have the car done I will post it. If anything it will be interesting.

I guess you haven't been here long enough to understand the "broken SHO" and "money pit" jokes.
They aren't meant to me offensive, everyone uses them.
