To the ppl that have dyno'd the SHO... I found a local shop that has an AWD Dyno but they say they need to know how the power is distributed between front and rear or else it could cause problems in the dyno... Has any one run into this problem before and if so do y'all know the split between front and back?

All I know is power is sent to the rear wheels on the fly on demand, so the split could be 100-0 or 20-80 or anything in between. The rollers in the dyno do have to be linked.

I thought that 40% goes to the rear and 60% to the front all the time. I could be wrong on that. Seems like the rollers on the dyno should be independent between front and rear to measure accurately. But I am no expert.

Nice, well thank you very much I'll pass on the info and see if they're willing to do it. Of course after I get the LMS stage 1 tomorrow and get my car from the damn dealership going on 3 weeks now not to mention the first 2 weeks at the other dealer when they replaced the steering assembly and didn't fix the issue. It turned out to be the whole rear drive unit and Ford of course took for ever to get their hands on one. I should get it back by Sunday. Owned the car 6 weeks and only enjoyed it 1week so far.

Since you are an LMS customer, ask them specifically for your model year's f/r split. The programming changed in 2013+ MYs to allow much more power to the rear, at least based on what the display shows in the instrument cluster. Again, the power is provided only on demand.

70% up front. 30% to the rear.

Do you have any insight on how this changes as power is added to the platform? Is that 70/30 a number due to the physical gear ratios in the drive train system? Or is that a limit of the clutch packs only allowing 30% of the stock power to get to the rear?

Never asked specifics.

I was simply elated at that time, to be speaking with (2) of the engineer's on the development team, and was uber happy (at that time) to have even been on the recieving end of even generic answers.

Sorry.

Referring to SHOdded's comment above, where or how do we get this information to display?

Thx.

70/30 split all the time???? Not sure what that engineer was talking about but I don't think that is true at all. Based on all of the written data that Ford has provided, when there is no demand for additional traction, the split is 100/0. Power is sent to the rear based on sensors that measure throttle position, steering angle and wheel slip among other things.

It is interesting to watch the AWD gauge in cars that have one. When just driven gently, it shows only the front wheels pulling. Step ******* the gas and it shows all 4. With the torque vectoring in Lincolns or the Focus RS, push hard around a corner and you see the outside rear working while the inside rear is not.

If you don't have a Performance Pack model, you have to use Forscan and an OBD adapter to get it to show up in the first menu on the left side of the cluster.

I do have the performance package, m/y 2015.
This is a command on the left side of the panel?

Interesting. I don't know why they'd enable it on some and not others. Of course, I don't know why they'd put it in there and not enable it on all of them in the first place! And, yes, it is under the first list on the left side of the instrument panel.
