Hey guys,

Chris and I are looking to leave here on the 30th (early morning) and stay in AZ until the 5th. I have not written eveyone to see how this works with your schedules as I would like to see all of you guys. I have talked to Tom and he said he would be in town. Chris and I have not figured out all the details yet as we just go approved to get off work then. I'll keep you gusy updated on what we figure out.


Eric, I received the ducts today, THANKS a bunch!! Time to go the Home Depot and/or Wal Mart.

In that case, I hereby declare that The AZ SHO Club shall have a welcoming party for Jason and Chris on Saturday the 2nd starting at whenever AM and going on until late PM.

We could hit the Pavillions that night and SHOw off Jason's car for him.

I'll be around then, but barely. Probably still jet lagged and trying to recover in order to leave again on the 4th for SoDak. I'll be enjoying Independence Day fireworks in Raton, NM, as I have done from time to time in the past.

I'll be driving my truck from AZ to SoDak on the 4th and 5th, but you guys probably aren't interested in caravanning back to CO with a 4x4 Ranger anyway.

So, yeah, a get-together on the 2nd sounds like a fine idea.

Unfortunately I'm already delaying the SoDak trip as long as I can. I need to be there for a class reunion that week. Besides, Huntervf misses me.

And it's hot here already...you really want to maximize your stay in Phoenix in July? Guys, come back in January when we have track events and cold air at low altitude. Then we'll see what that sooperhoover of yours can do.

It looks like we will be leaving Wenesday night arriving sometime on Thrusday. The previous owner, Steve, wants me to stop by so he can see the car. It is definitely not the same car he sold me.

One of the things I'll have to force myself to do this time is sleep... We'll see if that happens. Hope to see everyone soon!

Okay, no big deal if the house is already taken. AZ is one of those places where I can find just about any friend's (or family) house to sleep over at. I will probably be looking to get away from my parents house at least two nights the time I am there.

how convenient...I just lost the clutch in the gen 1 returning from phx this past weekend. And with all the clutch experts in one place, this could be nice.

Clutch? Chris and I just did mine two days ago. Once we got the sub frame out, we both fell asleep. Also, everytime we got something big done on the car, we stopped to eat... or sleep.

BTW Mike, I'll be needing those videos when I come down, I don't own them.

If you guys are up to it, Tom and I will be diggin into the clutch...hopefully to finish in time to go to the pavillions. Can we pick your experienced Brains? I have all the parts ordered and are en route now. I actually found a set of flywheel bolts too!

We'll see how we feel on the clutch job. I can't speak for Chris, but I'll help, I just don't know how deep I'll go into it. I definitely want to make it to the Pavilions... I think a SC SHO is something AZ has been missing (in a car).

Chris and I will do some testing with the water injection and timing down there. I want to stay safe with the power, so we'll have to see how teh 110+ degree heat does. Most of my rides will be in the morning or at night for the cooler temps until I get everything tuned and I am comfortable. I may see if my dad will let me borrow his truck while I am there so I don't have to run around in the gas guzzler.

Jason, sounds good. I'm happy just having your brain around to ask questions when I'm working on it. The video is very comprehensive and I dont anticipate any problems. yea right.


Im driving from flag to dooleyville friday after work...when are you guys rolling into AZ? You coming via 40 to 17? Figured if we were headed the same way at the same time, I could have a car to follow just in case. I'm going to start the tear down on friday evening so that it leaves plenty of time for me to get it all back together in time for the pavillions.
