hello, my 95atx just started another problem. it always worked fine before,but just before doing my 120k last month i noticed it slipped when i hit passing gear on the highway trying to get back to 3rd. now if i manually upshift with OD off it will not leave 2nd and go into 3rd. with OD on it will find 3rd and go into OD very quickly. it seems to me like something unplugged or came unconnected.it does have the mileage for atx being bad with typical shifting confusions ,but still it always shifted consistantly manually when OD on or off. maybe its even a problem with some sensor in the floor shifter itself. if i hit the OD on then off it will come out of 2nd and find 3rd .dunno. thanks for any ATXers input knowledge.

sounds like 3rd gear is going or gone
not very common but is if you do alot of highway driving and using passing gear alot.
But is it down shifting by it self???
or just when you are going.Also see what your RPM's are in 3rd going 50 miles an hour.
Try driving with OD off and kick it down and see what happens
if it takes to long for 3rd to kick in you my friend need a over haul
I am just a Transmission Apprentice so i am not 100% sure
