Are the older.. (95) SHO trans' similiar to the Ax4n's, where the shaft on the pump itself is a slip fit spline? Or is there a little ring on the end of it.... can I possibly pull the pump off the side of the "body" and leave it there?

I guess I can't get a pump without a new valve body n all... what I want is a bearing... does anyone happen to know a # for said bearing? and or a place to get one? ;)

The pump shaft is a floating spline-driven piece.

While it should be possible to remove the pump from the valve body w/ the body on the trans, my manual shows some special alignment pins that are required to get the pump back on the body correctly, which would require the valve body to be removed from the trans to accomplish that.
