93 ATX 124,000 miles. Shortly after installing a TB LPM the (OD off light) started flashing consistently. Checked my codes and came up with 634 (neutral safety switch) Removed the LPM and the OD light still flashes constistently. Ran the codes again, now I also received 628 ( Excessive converter clutch slippage). Could the neutral safety switch problem cause the 628 code? I am trying to cover all bases before rebuilding the tranny.

I had the LPM installed before and did not have any problems with it. I removed it when I had the motor out for bottom rebuild.

BS,
Hello from a fellow Tx owner! As the former owner of a 93 atx, in order to properly run the Ted Breaux LPM, you will have had to upgrade your stock h3z computer to one from a 94 or 95 model. Once you have done that, the codes you describe are some classic indications that the OD might have burned out due to the increased line pressures the LPM puts on the tranny. Unfortunately, it looks like a rebuild time, if you are looking for good tranny experience, and have problems finding someone in San Antonio to do the work, there is a guy in the Dallas area that knows what he is doing as far as SHO trannies go. PM shoforum member "axianator" for the details of his shop.

Good luck.

Computer had been upgrade to a 95 ATX a while back. The first time it was installed, I had no problems. Thanks for the reply.

Try removing the LPM and re-cleaning the electrical contacts on your computer. Be sure to get it completely clean. My car exhibited the same issues when I installed mine and was told by Ted B. to re-clean the contacts.

GIve it a try and let us know.
