Uh, yeah. But you guys do whatever you want. I'm not participating, I'm over the whole street racing thing.

The track tour consists of touring the infield, garages, pit road, the straights, and they take you around the top near turn 4 so you can see how deep the embankment is. It's pretty cool, they tell you about a lot of technical stuff. The Imax movie is pretty cool too. I think I was drunk or something the last time I went in there and didn't realize that for the first half of the movie I had my sunglasses on instead of my 3D glasses... and I couldn't figure out why stuff was blurry! :nut:

one thing about the speedway if you've never been there... ITS BIG... really big.... The whole thing is so big, that out front is a dog racing track.... and in comparison to the speedway behind it, it almost camoflauges the dog track and you can not notice it just driving past lol.

But for how big it is, when you walk accross the front tri oval area, like parellel to pitroad and before the start/finish line... you will notice how narrow it is... try to imagine 3 cars wide going at 190mph through there and it seems really tiny........

3d imax eh?

that will be great!

I'm defintely down for some SHO v SHO action.... did I hear someone was bringing the video camera?..... it could get hectic! lol

If you want to do some highway racing im not extremely familar with the area/cop hiding spots... I'd say best bet is to recon the interstate, go north from Speedway Blvd one exit and if the coast is clear come back south down the interstate with the Yamaha's winding out...

I'm up for whatever. However, I am not really into the whole highway racing thing, I just fear the wrath of "the man" and I see a lot of ppl that get pulled over on I4 on that stretch heading to Daytona. On the contrary, I have always wanted to race another SHO wherever I could, I just really dont want to have my car impounded, but I can't think of any alternative. As for my car, it is bone stock except for the mods in my signature.

welp SHO's are just more fun to race on the highway, 1st gear on the street for me is already 50mph... thats no fun.. to wind out 2nd and get any movement out of that I gotta get up to 90mph... and 90mph is a ticket to jail with a couple of charges on a 45mph street... I've only done 90mph a few times on regular streets....

I-95 through there is 70mph speed limit, until 99mph you can't get into too much trouble... over 100mph and your lucky to get a ticket that the cop will write at 29mph over the speed limit so he doesn't have to waiste his time and do more paperwork taking you to jail.

Dan is your car an ATX or MTX?

**** street racing is fun though, sometimes you gotta grab life by the horns... put the accelerator pedal down and have some fun.. The man isn't everywhere.

I'll google earth a couple places I know are rural around there and see if there is a good straight backcountry road we can run a couple races on....

I've finally got my head out my @$$ and back to feeling good about my SHO! Kinda got sick of it after driving it every day for 8 years!

Amazing how you can turn around the attitude with a good 3 hour wash and detail session.

I'm with Dan, photo opp sounds kool, kinda tight on cash. The track is simply awesome! Do they show you the road course? I've crewed on an IMSA team back in the day and got some passenger seat action in a pace car.

What time will you guys be done with the tour? I'll help Tara steady a camera for the SHO action. Just got rid of two 29 pointers on my record:rofl:

How many Gen III's? Me and Bodyless SHO?

The 29th? Damn, I was supposed to go to a wedding in St. Tropez for my buddy Bob.

He's marrying some bottle blond, surgically enhanced....

IIRC the highway has a guard rail between the north and southbound lanes and it turns into 3 lanes somewhere up there,so theres plenty of room!
so it should be perfect, ill make sure to bring my radar detector.all we need to worry about is the unmarked units lurking!

damn I'm gonna try to make it lol, I'm spending sheetloads of money this week and next week... 90% of my paycheck on the SHO to get it ready for a roadtrip... even that is questionable and cutting it close....

I think my P/S pump is making noise and going out, if so that looks like a B itch to change, and its 191 bucks.... I couldn't get directly on the P/S pump with my stethoscope, but the pulley right next to it sure is loud as ****, would be a nice thought that the pulley is the only thing bad lol... I just don't think a bad pulley would make that sort of noise though.

I just whent out today and bought new rotors, pads, and caliper brackets to get the 11.6 setup up to par. 130 bucks just for those parts.....

I really need 2 tires cause my fronts have gone to ****, my windshield is cracked but I might just run that, and god bless me nothing breaks this week!

I guess I could get 2 used tires and put off buying a set of performance tires until after Daytona.... that would spare me a good hunk of change.... after all I will need a lot of money for gas... this thing is a hog!
