Anyone know if this stereo will hook right up?

I wanted to keep my storage area, anyone know if this cd player will plug in and work I have a 94 with premium radio with sub.

I think some here have said it does work though, simply plug & play. You could always buy it and if it doesn't work, re-sell it naughty

I dont see why it wouldnt seeing it came from a ford, although you never know w/ them, could be a completely different harness. If it is different you could just buy an adapter and hook it up like an aftermarket deck.

Thanks for the replies guys! I just want to verify that it will still run the amp and the factory sub. The jumper? Is that the small plastic connector in the unit or would I have to jump the amp in the car and run it like aftermarket.

It's the little plug that's the upper 6 pin connector. It's a preamp in-out loop and CD signal connection for the slave CD player. That unit should plug in and work fine, BUT if it's from a Contour it will have a green display, not a blue one like your car has now.

Thanks, is there a way to change the color of the light if needed? Would you know if the redundant vol/tune switches will still work on the top of the dash?

Yes you can replace the face. The bad is that bluish green faces are hard to find.
Yes, the redundant volume switch will also work.
Jelloslug, I take it you're no longer interested in my deck?
