This is my son's '14 SHO. We picked the car up last November so I don't have any detailed service history for it. 114k miles currently. I had it at a local shop yesterday and they were unable to replicate the noise. I thought he was describing a belt/pully whine but they all checked out fine. Brakes and suspension were also checked with no issues. My son was able to record the noise a few times today. The wine is random, but speed sensitive. Higher pitch at higher speed. No noise at idle.

constant speed (35ish)

accelerating out of roundabout

slowing for traffic light

I've never heard a whine like that and am hoping for thoughts. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a Kazoo. I would get one of those cheap stethoscopes and listen around for a vacuum leak.

The noise sounds very much like a sound that a few of us have been trying to track down. I would say it sounds exactly like the noise my car makes, but the difference being mine does not seem to correlate to vehicle or engine speed whatsoever. And the noise in my car only becomes audible when the engine is under load. Using my wireless ChassisEar I've not yet been able to narrow down the source. It seems to be most prevalent on the ABS HCU, but even with all electrical connectors unplugged from the HCU it still makes the noise.
