Anti-locks :When did they start

Oh Two thing on brakes.

When did Antilocks come on SHO's I know my 93 had them and my 90 didn't or at least they and the light were burned out.

Also if I get a baer Claw kit on it will that cost my antilocks?

I've desided to make sure I can stop before I put a NO System on the next one.

91 I believe was when ABS came about on the SHO @ least that's what I remember from SHOtimes. Hence my reasoning for getting the gen.1 in a 91 well that & driver's airbag.

ABS started in '90. As well as the driver's airbag. Optional passenger air bag in '92 and '93, std in '94 and '95 I believe.

Of course the 89's don't have any of that extra heavy junk

Mark so do you know the second part. I don't know if you have the Wilwoods on your car but do any of the upgrades beyond the 96 let you keep the antilock?

Yes, the wilwoods use the '90-'93 spindles w/ abs, so the system stays put. Pretty much all the brake upgrades allow you to keep your ABS.
