Another race!! This time charger scat pack

driving home from work yesterday I met up on the road with a charger scat pack, he actually approached me at a long light and said "I never pulled with one of them SHOs would you be willing to on green?" I said sure , I blew him off the line until about 40 then he went by me like I was standing still, I had no idea they were that quick. We both ended up on the highway heading the same direction this time did a 60 pull I took it to 140 and he whipped my a$$ he was about 4 bus lengths ahead of me those things are no joke!

SHO is my daily driver. Roush charged Mustang is in the garage; 550 rwhp / 481tq. And yes there is always something faster.

PS: I looked at both the SHO & Scatpac.
They're both around the same price but... SHO has more features and much more quality construction. The deciding factor for me was every little kid in town has a Scatpac. I'm maybe 1 of 2 SHOs in Southeast Louisiana.

According to Car & Driver, the Charger Scatpack runs the quarter in 12.4. It typically takes a few more mods than just a tune for an SHO to run that.

I would also venture a guess they run completely different on the track. The SHO is going to excel on the short end and I imagine the scatpack is going to pick it up on the big end. What's the standard trap speed for the a SHO running 12.4?

I picked up a Scat Pack two days before Christmas. I loved my SHO and with the Livernois Tune it really moved. There is no doubt from a stand still the SHO gets out a head. Even in decent weather anything past half throttle and the tires start to spin on the Scat Pack from launch. Its a blast to drive but the SHO will always still have a place in my heart.

I ran 1/4 in 12.44 at 110 mph. Would think that is about average from what I have saw.

Yeah, Car and Driver has the 2015 Scatpack trapping at 114 mph which is pretty significant vs 110 mph.

I raced a bunch of 392 hemi's at the track... none went faster than 12.8

I ran into an SRT last year and got beat but it wasn't as bad as it sounded like with this scat pack. I don't have near the mods either so it just sounds weird to me. I was wondering what running a scat pack would be like but I guess I won't bother trying now.

It's better to try and lose then to never try at all.

Maybe that Dodge with think your just a old tortus and you'll surprise the L out of him/her.

I mean the scats have that new 8 speed auto so I'm sure that helped him, but anything over 80 I was TOASTED LOL
