AMP PLACEMENT

ok i got my amp hooked up and everything....but the amp ground is kinda long cause i grounded it out where you guys took me to by the latch....where is a good place to mount this and have the ground kinda short?

I hooked my amp up to the original amp rack, doing some slight modifications. Get some self tapping srews and a screw gun and you should be golden.

I had my amp mounted under the rear deck. All the speaker wires were right there and you couldn't see it or the power wires.

I had a nut and bolt going through the rear deck. I sanded the metal and attached it there. I never had a feed back problem.

Now since I've relocated all the wiring i get a feed back. This spring i'll be doing a cleaning to the trunk.

I forget where I grounded, but, I mounted my amp right on my box, with the subs facing towards the rear. I removed the factory (blown) sub and put the box (and amp) up against the back seat. No wires to see! P.S. I also bought some small metal brackets at wal-mart and bolted my box to my trunk in 4 places , highly recommended in high theft areas!

I grounded mine to a spot next to the factory amp. Have had no problems. Also a seat belt bolt is good too. It's not too long of a run.

my amp is in the passenger side of the trunk, all the way to the back of the car. it is mounted on a board that is screwed into the floor of the trunk, the ground is about 6 inches long and is attached to the side of the trunk under the carpet.
