Well, I am very pleased with my tranny rebuild. With the gen.3 cooler and the radiator bypasses I've got much lower tranny temps. I have also noticed with Doug's XCal tune, I get even cooler temps. Should it be that noticeable?
30 minute drive to work (1/2 highway, 1/2 city) at 80 degree ambient temp., the transmission gets to 150 degrees with the stock tune. It gets to 125 degrees with Doug's tune.
Anywho... to the topic at hand...
the volts gauge drops to 12V (from ~14V) now at times (with the a/c running and/or headlights on) and I have come to a dead stop... If I rev the engine in Neutral OR proceed to drive off, the volts will climb back up. This never happened before the tranny rebuild. Is there any alternator component or wiring that the tech. had to adjust to allow for the tranny rebuild?
BTW, even though the volts drop, the battery light does NOT illumine... but the headlights do get pretty dim...
