Alternator compatibility

Will a 93' MTX alternator work with a 95 MTX ive read it wont, but i dont see why i tried searching and the only difference i saw was that the 93 has 90 amp output and the 95 has a 130 amp output... id assume that this would be the only reason why shotimes says theyre different is there a noticable difference in alternator performance???

visit your local auto parts store. Have them look up the part number for the 93 and 95 and see if they're the same.

In addition to the amperage variation, the 94-95 MTX alternators have a different geometry than the 89-93 MTX. The 94+ alternator requires an additional mounting bracket and you need to reconfigure the wiring harness.
