air conditioning problem

I've searched previous threads but can't find an answer to my 92's mtx problem with the air cond. It was retro fitted in late 2004 and every component related to the air looks new, however it blows hot. I had a similar problem with a 93 Aerostar 3.0 and a mechanic changed a 30 dollar part to fix it and it still blows cold. Just wondering if there is some kind of relay or switch that may be bad??

Check to see if its cycling. Its probably the switch thats sitting on top of the big canister near the firewall with a plug into it. I forget what its called. You can jumper both sides to trigger the clutch engagement. Its about a 30 dollar part.
