When the Air Conditioner is on it works great, but it only stays on for about 20 min then blows warm air. After blowing warm air for about 5 min it turns back on. Last summer I tried to get it fixed, they checked the compresser and said it was great, so they then replaced some hoses and recharged the system. But it did no good. They said they didn't know what was wrong. Has anyone had this problem and had it fixed? Thank You.

next time you have this problem tap the clutch face with a broom handle. if the compressor clicks on your clutch needs to be adjusted, or you could just replace the clutch and coil assembly entirely. it could always be a switch or something else but this is the simplest thing to test. let us know how it goes!

Locate the A/C compressor pulley on the passenger side of the engine. If you don't know which one it is look at the belt diagram under the hood or follow A/C lines to it. When the A/C is on and the engie running, there is a plate on the end of the pulley that spins (this is what BlackonblackATX was referring to). When the A/C stops blowing cold, look at this to see if it is spinning. If it's not, check out this page
