Add the oil to the low pressure schrader valve, then add the R-12. Keep the can upright so you are letting the liquid expand into a gasous state and force its way into the system. The engine should be running and the max A/C on. As soon as there is enough pressure in the system the A/C compressor will be activated. Once the compressor is activated the vacuum will draw in the R-12.

When your can is about 1/2 empty you can set it in warm tap water to "boil" the refrigerant. This created more pressure to push the refrigerant into the system. DO NOT do this to a full can. Good luck and I hope it works for you. Note: keep a towel or gloves handy because the can of refrigerant gets very cold and can cause frost bite to your skin (hand or fingers). rangerj
