AC Blower

The other day is was driving around in my '96 (go figure, it was the first day in the 90's) when the AC blower decided that it wanted to stop, well, blowing. To quote Jeremy Clarkson it seemed as if the air conditioning was an asthmatic blowing through a straw. The air was still cold, but the fan stopped working.

Is there a resistor under the dash that's fairly easy to get to that is a common problem with these cars? Or am I looking at pulling the dash apart?

Consult the Owners Manual. There's a fuse in the fuse box for the blower fan. That's where you start.

The EATC uses a solid state fan speed controller, not a resistor as in systems that use a set number of fan speeds.

That being said like suggested check the fuse then the relay. I've had the relay burn uop before. Easy to change as it's in the underhood fuse box.

Thanks for the help. I ended up tracking it down to the relay under the hood. Nothing like a $5 fix!!
