Ok, I replaced my axle shaft probably about 3 months ago when I snapped it. and during the removal I accidentally dropped a part of the axle on the sensor causing it to fray, I cant seem to find anyone that sells a new ABS or wheel speed sensor... where can I get one?

thanks I appriciate it! another question, are the sensors SHO specific because there isn't a single SHO at any of the yards around here, tons of SLO's on the other hand.

NAPA sells ABS sensors. I got a rear sensor for about $45. Looks like the front sensors run $68.50.

Get a new sensor. I know it sucks but the yards around here didn't even bother selling me an ABS sensor. They say they're too much work to remove and many get destroyed in the process.

Oh and the sensors aren't SHO specific.

The ABS system and its parts are the same for all the Taurii and Sables of the same vintage with factory ABS.

There's nothing unique about the ABS system on the SHO.

since all that other information is helpful I would like to also ask a question on this topic.. I have been having my ABS light coming on occasionally. Now when I had to replace my differential seal on the car I noticed that the abs gear? (if that is what its called) was broken and would that be the cause as to why the abs light is coming on occasionally?

The "gear" is presumably the sensor exciter ring.

If the ring cracks and breaks, it will cause an ABS light when the sensor cannot pick up a proper signal from the ring.
