ALright... my abs light is on- i cant seem to get it off... i tested the main relay and its good and tested to see if theres voltage going to the main relay which there is..

I suspect it might be a sensor but i need to do this the most cost effective- how can i know for sure what the problem is... is there a test i can do to see what is causing it.. thanx guys

The most cost effective way to test an ABS system is to take it to a qualified tech and let them perform the diagnosisand the repair. That way if their diagnosis is incorrect it's on them. However, if your looking for a best and cheapest guess I would bet on one of the Wheel Speed Sensors. If not you could be looking at Pump/Motor assem.

Who needs abs??? The cheapest fix is to just pull the annoying light from the cluster and go without them. It does not affect the real breaking action of the vehicle, and, if your ever in the situation where you go into a skid (smart drivers wont) just pump the brakes yourself.

It could also indicate something seriously wrong with his system though. Better safe than sorry EZ...get it checked out. Could be something very simple like the wheel sensors. Skids can happen to anyone...even the best of drivers. Last thing you need to happen is to be in a situation where you need to stop quickly and can't.
