My abs light has been on since i bought my car last October. The sensors are fine, and the abs doesn't kick in when it shouldn't...it's just always off. I think it must be an electrical problem, but I want to know what it could be before I start randomly replacing things. Is there any way of testing the abs module?
-Thanks

Without getting the codes pulled, its just a guessing game. I would start by checking all the wiring for the ABS system and then checking all the other parts for obvious damage. After that your just going to be replacing parts till you find the broken one. FYI my ABS wasbroken when I got my '90 and it was a bad main power connection at the solenoid, it looked OK but the heatshrink was the only thing holding the terminal on.

The 'Ford code reader' that you can buy at wal-mart can pull the engine codes as well as the codes from the abs.

Detenator,

How much are these code readers? I know how to check the engine codes with the check engine light, but an ABS code reader would be handy.

Thanks!
