Must have been the pond you drove through coming home from New Hampshire?

Must have been my 19" tires....

Glad to see it's fixed for you. Won't feel so bad about you following me now. 57

So the ABS light is on, has been for a while. I was hoping new front sensors would fix everything but no dice. The story as I understand it is the ABS won't even display the codes. So my wrench (without spare ABS module) is at a standstill.

Does anybody have a spare they can lend me (him)? Does anybody have any suggestions of stuff to check so the codes can be pulled and some specific ailment pinpointed and resolved?

Thanks in advance to anybody with ideas...

I think I have a spare one in my shed that you can have for the actual cost of shipping. I would have to check if you want me to - Just PM me if you do.

I have no use for it since I own two '89's without ABS. :)

I re-read this thread, so never mind my offer above. I didn't see that the problem has already been solved. My bad. :)

Well James was checking the ABS while the car was parked! As soon as one pulled away... ping ABS fail!

James, do the following comments jog your memory of what/how you diagnosed the ABS Pump was ultimately the culprit?

"#1 - The relay on the core support was NASTY (watersoaked at one time)
#2 - The relay on the side of the pump was bad
#3 - The ABS module was bad

In order, I did the small relay, that powered up the pump. It threw several codes. I then changed the Module, that changed the codes. Then I changed the 2 *** relay at the pump, and the light shut off.

- James"
