My ABS just came on a couple days ago and I went to go try and read the codes to diagnose the problem. I put a paper clip between the Ground and trigger terminals then tried reading the codes from the dash, but it only blinked one time. There is a dim flicker before the clear blink which leads me to think im reading an 11 code which would be the ABS control module? My passenger front caliper might be locked up since i can feel the car pull to the left under heavy braking, would this cause an ABS light to come on? Just for the **** of it, does Autozone, Advance Autoparts or Murrays check ABS codes by chance?

Just looking for some general advise, any help is appreciated! :thankyou:

No parts stores can read the ABS codes.

Heaving pull during braking is often caused by a bad brake hose on the side opposite the direction of the pull. The hoses on the Taurus are well known for this failure.

Fix ALL underlying hydraulic or mechanical issues before attempting to tackle the ABS system, otherwise, you will waste considerable time and effort.
