I'm down to just modifying the charge pipes and refining the tune. If all goes well this weekend late night drags I'll be getting some base runs on 10 psi.

After seeing him come to indy, and watching that thing.....if you think he isn't onto something, you're a fool......I'm in agreement with murph...

p.s. I disagree.......:snicker:

slow:p but to be honest, I've never really seen any g3's with power post times:munch:

lol I don't think it was meant as a insult towards me. I can speak on the ATX on a few regards though. There was a lot that needed tweeked on my car to get it to run right. The primary problem I had was tuning it properly. At the time adam parrot had not decoded the ATX ECU and I NEVER got to launch under boost because the torque management would cut my ignition timing back to 0 once boost would build and after the 60' I would get it back. You can see this in all of my 1/4 mile vids. It was very frustrating at the time.

I have said this on here many times but If you want a fast 1/4 mile SHO take a STOCK ATX, gut it, put skinies out back and whatever rubber you can throw on the front and spray the **** out of it and you will get into the 11's. If I had security that I would get my money back out of it. I would go buy a beat up ATX car and do that just to prove a point. No fancy suspension, no fancy tires, no built transmission. just a tune to quicken shifts and a 2 stage NO2 setup. My FULL WEIGHT turbo car weighed in a 3800lbs the way it sat when I ran a 12.72 @108.9 and that was with a cracked piston on 14psi (I think) 2.0 60' all day leaving with 0deg ignition timing. The car would ROLL off the line and once the torque management would kick off it was like I got rear ended. That car was a Fing rocket ship I swear. Anyone that rode in it at the convention seemed impressed. Not only that the car moved out pretty good but that the car was on low boost and had just traveled 2K on a massive road trip I took it on. I miss the **** out of that car :(

I remember being super anxious about the 1/4 event at the convention. The car was running like a top and I was talking to a couple guys and I was going to borrow a pair of slicks and I had swapped on a pair of 13" brakes from a 3rd gen SHO that was there so I could TRY and hold it on the line to build boost to set a new record. I would not have been shy about winding the boost way up for it just to see how it went on slicks to put on a good show. Unfortunately the event got rained out. What a bummer that was. I was really bummed I could not race at the road course because the car overheated so quickly and I was really looking forward to the event.

All that said. My SHO powered camaro is going to house any time you guys think you might be able to pull off this year... I am sorry to be so blunt. I just have this feeling I will be pulling fronts running 10's while you guys are still trying to get into the 12's. The only thing the car does not have in it at the moment is cams, intake manifold, and gauges. Other than that the car is full weight as it and the front suspension is maxed out. It has factory Z28 springs in the front and apparently I removed a whole lot of weight by the looks of it.

I know with some tweeking and TLC my turbo ATX could have had high 11's but without weight reduction I think that is all the transmission had left in it. In a lighter car you probably would not have the trans issues I had.

Well I would hope so. It shouldn't be too difficult for your car to get pretty low ETs. I'll do whatever it takes to go 11's in my '92 this year though. I'm not scared.

It will be interesting to see what has to be done to a SHO to run 11's. Keep us updated on your progress
