He says it has rubber blocks that hit the pinch welds.

Well, I reviewed a LOT of different lifts - and given my ceiling height (or lack thereof), flooring type, and other needs, I pulled the trigger on the QuickJack BL-7000SLX. I understand there's a 4 week lead time, good thing I don't have any planned service in the next 4 weeks. ;) What made me pull the trigger is that using the floor jack with jack stands is definitely damaging my pinch welds with repeated use. Not happy about that at all. Hopefully this will be money well spent. It's basically taking the place of new down pipes until next year, budget wise.

I just realized that I never posted a pic of my new toy... so, without further ado, my new mini-lift, which has just been AWESOME - love it so much more than jackstands, though I did use two under the subframe mounting (not actually touching) just as a backup if the lift were to fail for any reason. (Not that I expect it too, it feels really, REALLY solid!!)

Yeah, and it feels actually more solid than stands - I think because two of the mounting points are at a fixed distance - or maybe it's all in my head, lol.
