a/c help please!!

The ac in my 94 sho was working just fine until it got hot now It wont work at all. First off I thought it just needed recharged but when i put the hose and gauge on the low side it said there was about 125lbs of pressure in the line. So i discharged the line and put 30lbs in but the compressor will only turn on for about a second then shut off for 5sec then on again. I dont know what the problem is but its driving me nuts. I checked the other threads and someone had a smilar problem but I want to get as much information about it as i can before i take the a/c clutch off and remove a shim. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem si that you don't know what you're doing.

You discharged a perfectly well-charged system and put in 30 POUNDS of refrigerant?

Now it's short-cycling (usually due to an undercharge).

You need to get a full gauge set on there so you can monitor BOTH sides of the system.
