Recent purchase 1995 MTX 109k miles, unmodified, irritating throttle surge at idle and at speed when A/c is on (defrost, etc) compressor cycles and throttle bumps and drops. Looked for a thread and unsuccessful. Surge does not happen with ACC off. Guidance?

Maybe try doing the idle reset. I haven't done one in a while but you can search for it on the site. In a nut shell, the car has to learn where the idle needs to be with certain power draws on the system. Search "idle reset" and try that.

I’ll give it a try. Thank you!
If u are still having a surge problem clean the Idle Air Bypass. That's the cylinder just behind the throttle body. GENTLY! remove the connector and remove the two screws to the back part of the IAB. "use some stick-um and be very careful not to drop the small screws into the intake runners this can ruin your day" Remove the back part of the IAB and clean the spring loaded plunger with throttle body cleaner. Check that the slider works cleanly and easily .My exp. is that this part seems to require periodic maintenance due to excessive carbon and moisture causing it to not work properly. If this part is damaged or not working easily then replace it (about $56. for a new quality IAB.
On re-assembly check the elec. connections (both ends) a little dielectic grease on the terminals is a good idea and check the vacumn hoses near the firewall for breaks or leaks.
Also, remove the throttle body hose and open up the throtle and clean with throttle body cleaner for any moisture, soot or carbon.

p.s. If u still have an idle problem and need to reset it let me know and I will dig out the correct procedure.
welcome to the forum and best to ya.
the '95 Gen II mtx' is a nice ride.
