) and it worked perfectly.it looks nicer and more updated thats for sure, is the actual feeling of the movement different or anything? maybe u could make some money converting these and selling them to people as an upgrade over the stock apperance
and to Vnuk, seems odd that your multi switch is the culprit there....... the headlights really don't go through that switch...... you could have another electrical problem elsewhere in the wiring or sockets...... now if you said when u hit your turn signal your wiipers screw up or the brights come on or something like that, that is related to the MFS, then I'd think about replacing it
could be wrong t **
When I first bought my SHO, I took it for a spin one night and the headlights decided to shut off on me without warning. Freaked me out a little bit. The problem ended up being a faulty MFS (probably failed in the way you describe).Actually, the headlights do run through the MFS, and a malfunctioning MFS can cause exactly that issue. If the switch to activate the high beams is partially activated, the low beams will cut off without the highs coming on. On a worn MFS, this is definitely possible. You would not believe what all goes through that stupid thing.
See, between that and the ignition cylinder, I have decided to simply run with no steering column covers. MFS turns into a 3 minute job and ignition cylinders take about 45 seconds. Sure, it might look kinda ugly, but just consider it a weight savings... and a breath of fresh maintenance air.

So it's a pain swapping a MFS out?!
Thats odd that you had to modify it, i just put one in my 93 and it works perfectly. Didn't have to do anything but bolt it in.
