I had taken my sub box out of my 95 and opened the box to put in a bigger speaker.I decided not to so i put it back together.Problem is with the trunk shut it hits poorly when i open the trunk it sounds great. Did i in someway ruin the seal of the box when i opened it, and how can i fix it thanks.

that's because the location of the box absolutely sucks.

I ran a JL 6W0 in my stock enclosure (custom tuned port) and hung it back in the stock sub location. It sounded like complete ass. recently, I reacquired said sub and enclosure, and once again, put it in the stock location, only for it to still sound like ass.

I moved the sub box so the sub faced the rear of the car, and holy wow, batman. Bass! Damn decent bass for a lil itty bitty sub in an oversized box.

Give 'er a whirl and see what you come up with.

....i unbolted the box from the rear package shelf and set it up against my seat, facing the rear....

as long as the amp ain't glowing, it'll last a lil while longer.

amps will get hot, that's normal...

as for making the sub rear facing it's definitely the optimal for a trunk sub unless you set it up IB in which case you have to fire it into the cab directly...
