93 Intake Question

So my intake is stock, unless I'm REALLY missing something, has just a plain ol' filter in it, nothing special, but when I get on it, it sounds SO freaking mean...like it has an intake. It sounds just like an intake kit would and I can't figure out why. Is this normal? Anyone else had this happen to em? Am I worrying over nothing and should just enjoy the bad@$$ sound it produces

Well, all engines have intakes . If its the stock airbox (which I'm assuming cause you said plain ol' filter - as in a panel filter), the air silencer cone was probably removed, which makes the car louder.

Maybe you should dig into your intake box and check it out for yourself. But from what you've described, I don't think its anything to worry about unless you're missing something

I know every car has an intake lol...I've heard about taking out that cone, just learned about it 10 minutes ago so I haven't been able to check it out but i plan on doin that tomorrow.

I removed the whole box on the outside. I have installed an intake horn in its place.
