I'm working on replacing the engine on my 93 SHO, I have everything disconnected but the ATX and it won't separate from the engine. I've removed all the bolts i can find and the four connecting the flex plate to the torq converter; what else am i missing. My goal is to pull the engine out the top without removing the trans. any help is appreciated.

there are some secret bolts holding the right (passenger) end of the transmission to the engine mounting bracket. Most of the manuals don't tell you about these, so you end up with some new vocabulary. iirc, there are 2 bolts. once you remove these, suddenly it will come apart just fine...

There 3 bolts you have to take out near the cats beside cv joint and two just below fly wheel. Better off dropping the cradle. Still working on ATX.
