When finally in drive does it go back to 1st gear and shift normally during different driving speeds?

generally..could be low or bad fluid, bad shift solenoids in the valve body, bad transmission shift selector switch, worn out clutch material, bad linkage connecting shifter in the car to transmission via cable... or worn gears

So... Wheel hub assembly on the passenger side just quit its job today... Not sure if this is related to the whole transmission issue but it definitely puts my baby back on the project list and out of the "daily driver" position...
Anyway, with that being the case, I have another 2nd gen 3.2atx that runs/drives but heavy body damage; how difficult would a swap be or around how expensive?

Its not expensive at all if you do it yourself, which is pretty much how you have to do anything on these vehicles any more. You can drop the whole subframe out of each vehicle and reinstall in the other vehicle.

On your trans question - if it is a shift solenoid that is bad, you can possibly change those with the trans in the car, but anything else requires removal and a full rebuild. The one possible thing wrong that has not been mentioned is a bad piston inside the trans. I had one with your symptoms that was due to a cracked piston.

Be on the lookout for trying to swap out entire spindle/knuckle to 93 from a 94 or 95. The design changed a little.

The 94-95 had different oem calipers and pads and I assume (not certain) a little different bolt up or geometry somewhere.

So point is.. if you have another 3.2 car, and it is older than 93, and were considering a whole part swap, you may have to swap both sides up front. If the other is 93...never mind

Lmao Luigisho I appreciate all knowledge you can share, and it does help, considering I'm as a matter of fact talking about swapping "guts" from a 95 to a 93 body, so thank you for the heads-up

92 was the last year of only MTX cars. I don't think MTX drive train parts can be swapped with ATX cars

The good news with taking the whole front spindles is, there are upsized brake kits and things that were designed specifically for those later 94 & 95 v6 model years. When I had older cars I had to track down used ones from those years first.

Once you swap everything over you probably need an alignment.
