I see you can still buy a Self Test Output Connector for a 90 SHO. The large connector has many slots but only 3 are active, and 2 have the double wire crimped arrangement which fouled me up.

I cobbled up my connector the best I could, but I think a new one is a good investment on a 30 year old car.
I could barely get the wire stripper to work due to the dry, brittle wires leading to this connector, and moving it around does not improve the situation.

If you turn the a/c on and turn the key the cooling fan should come on. If not, this would shine on a faulty CCRM.
With a known good backup this is a simple check. That CCRM can easily be damaged by any errant spark fooling with electrical's. Always disconnect the neg. batt. cable when playing with electrical's. Using a tester to check voltage is usually o.k but you have to know what you are doing. The ECM is giving you codes so that can probably be ruled out.
