My custom intake manifold. Cut open, ported, runner length reduced by roughly .500 for higher RPM potential, thus peak HP and top end potential increase. ProMeth direct port with 2.0gph nozzles (about 96cc) per cylinder with 1500cc pre TB running a pro meth solenoid to keep fluid where it needs to be. Running off Alky Control’s progressive controller and maybe I should use both my Alky pumps. View attachment 82309View attachment 82310
Very nice. How long do you think until the Purple Haze is back in its home?

Last night I picked it up at UPS Freight. They loaded it in the bed of my truck with their forklift. B2A69240 220F 4424 9AAA 9B3B78E261E62C00A845 C2AD 4394 B53F 52DE59CB415A

Took it home, my neighbor and I picked it up and set it on the floor of my garage. 134FA0AE 964F 4785 97B3 3F629A0E3DC20EDF6211 7DDA 4BD2 B3F0 73DE0A4E1062

Looks good, planning an all-nighter to put it in, lol?

Didn't realize you had fender flares on your SHO, to fit wider rubber I assume?

Once I get the turbos and intake manifold from Matt I’m definitely installing both exhaust manifolds and turbos before I install the motor. I’ve missed the opportunity to go to a drag strip so this is going to be a big winter project.

Yes I wanted to make it stupid wide and I opened up a can of worms lol! I’ve got Clinched 2.7” New School Fender Flares and to get my wheels to sit flush with them I’ve got 20x10.5 American Racing AR924 Crossfire wheels with 2” spacers! Rubber is 315/35/20 all the way around, Nitto NT555 G2 in the rear and Nitto NT05R in the front. Suspension is Airlift 3P management with Airtekk struts. And I had to buy 13+ front steering knuckles, new front wheel bearing/hub assemblies and I added in new front lower control arms.

I am wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over budget. Lol!

Yeah, by the time I got mine where I wanted it racing season was over here too.

Well you certainly accomplished super wide, lol. Sounds like traction isn't an issue. I'd love to run those Nittos but they don't offer them in the size I need. Honestly though, I don't make enough power to need anything that sticky. Great build and keep the updates coming.

Not much has happened since I got my motor finally except I made a lot of space in my garage to start working on the car. I found a nice little 10x10 storage for all my drywall tools and now have a powerful little 240 volt electric heater to keep me warm. I use it on drywall jobs and the little sucker will **** you away. My garage is insulated so it won’t be terrible in there without it running, I’ll just leave it running for 10-15 min and turn it off and on as needed for the 1-3 hours at a time I can chip away at it.

Still waiting for my ported Gen3R turbos and intake manifold to arrive anyway. Plus I need to replace the crankshaft position sensor, camshaft sensors and oil pressure sensor.

I found and purchased a used 2014 SHO trans and rdu assembly with 61k miles for a whopping $890 shipped to me. Seems like a **** of a deal. So I’m starting to think that MAYBE I should take my original trans and rdu with 76k miles out of the car to tear apart and build. I’m assuming my trans would be the one in the roughest shape….. Swap in the 14 trans and rdu, along with my new ptu and brace, GH torque converter and buy myself some time until the original trans and rdu are ready to go in. My original rdu is basically worthless now, the magnet is different than the 13+ so my AKD coupler and clutches for it will now be in a another 13+ used carrier assembly. And just in case it doesn’t work I’ll have this other used 13+ rdu.

This stuff just keeps ***********. Image699D3D55 8BAC 4FC7 AD09 4B87278F43A73A78C7D9 C401 4C9C B7F6 37F8101F62288D578287 17EF 4B18 8C33 9678CE1351362A13E8E4 8A9F 4D17 A565 D7694AE6ACFD

Two things....@802sho

First, are you mocking up a mount for Jesus on the cross to be attached to the PTU?

Second, don't forget you will need to get the PCM updated to match the other trans strategy, in which you will need to be in stock tune for.....

No about the cross and I was just wondering about that. Stock tune? Well I plan on starting the new motor for the first time with it installed and I can’t do that on a stock tune. Need to start the motor for various reasons, but I wouldn’t drive it…I could then later have it towed to Ford? Is that where I have to have that done? I could flash it back to stock just for the update then flash it back to my tune before starting it again….would that work?

Thanks for info bc like I said I was just wondering about that. It’ll be a sight for sore eyes to see the reaction on the Ford techs face when he sees what I’ve done to my Taurus lol
Please be sure to properly capture "that look".

Not only will it be priceless, but it will also serve as the very foundation for many more future "holy p00p" looks yet to come!

Killing it Andrew. So excited for you. I hope to be there someday as well.

Can someone give more info on this PCM update. I was under the impression we just had to due a KAM reset and Crank relearn once the new engine is installed. Both which can be done using the SCT X4

Right but if you have a different transmission you will need to get the pcm updated. Do you have a different transmission?
